Note that it takes less time to hand edit your Cabrillo file than it does to download and install this patch, but the problem has been reported as a "pretty big hole" by one of our users, so here's the patch for the hole.

WriteLog version 10.22 is a free upgrade for anyone who purchased version 10.09 up to 10.22. You do not need a new registration code if you are currently running 10.11 or higher. Look in Help About to confirm.

This patch updates the "Band Change" window behavior for the ARRL DX contest (both inside W/VE and outside) to properly count band changes for Multi-Two entrants. If you are NOT running Multi-Two, then you do NOT need this update. Instructions:
1. Download the file above.
2. Unzip the file into WriteLog's \programs folder. It will replace ArrlDx32.dll and ArrlDxOut32.dll

With Writelog not running, unzip the above file into WriteLog's \programs folder. It will replace FieldDay.dll. Do not install this update on WriteLog versions newer than 10.41.

The simulator distributed in WriteLog version 10.31 is pretty much a bust--it gives a "WriteLog not running" message on most machines when it is run. This is a setup program that installs a working version  of the simulator and gets rid of the VB runtime download mentioned in 10.31. This simulator only works with WriteLog version 10.31 and higher.

WriteLog version 10.35 has a bug that causes a crash if you edit the CALL field of a QSO already in the log. Instructions: unzip the patch into WriteLog's \programs folder. It will replace writel32.exe

WriteLog version 10.34/35 have a bug that prevents running networking with a log that has a very wide column (like WAE) . Instructions: unzip the patch into Writelog's \programs folder. It will replace wlogne32.dll

The Cabrillo file generated by WriteLog version 10.34 does not properly show sent single digit QTC serial numbers that begin with "TT". This patch fixes that problem. However, its remains unclear whether the WAE contest sponsors will accept Cabrillo. (This patch is not actually required to patch the Cabrillo logs generated by 10.34: simply do a text substitution from the string "<space>T<space>" to "<space><space><space>" to fix it. To install this patch: unzip the above file into WriteLog's \programs folder.

New master.dta file for use in RTTY contests.  Enables WriteLog to recognize calls without having DE in front of them.

This patch (for 10.30 and earlier) updates the BARTG Cabrillo generation to include the SENT time per the log checker's specification.

Instructions:

Unzip it into WriteLog's \programs folder. It replaces bartg32.dll

This updated module will be in version 10.24 when it is released as well as subsequent versions.

Update the RttyRite module to extend the stop bits to the proper 1.5 bits if you are running Dumb Terminal or Sound Board FSK and if you are running Win95/98 (was not a problem on NT). Instructions: download the file, unzip it in your \programs folder. It will replace rttyrite9.exe. This update is for version 9 only!

WriteLog Setup Ports has a Pegasus entry for Rig Type. Select it. Then bring up the Pegasus software (bbtrx1w.exe as downloaded from here). WriteLog will automatically begin talking to it. You can bring up and shut down the WriteLog and Pegasus software in any order, but, of course, WriteLog can only control the Pegasus while both are up.
